I updated the look of the site once again. I wasn`t really all that happy with the cramped feeling the old layout had, so I changed it again and found this really nice theme that`s a lot more spacious and easy on the eye. It`s week 3 into the competition, and I recently tested the first alpha of my CTF map with some friends, cityy and pikaluva13, on Maverick`s CPM server. Thanks for helping me test, and thanks to Maverick for putting my map up on his servers. Last but not least, I`d like to post a video that pikaluva13 (or skarmtalon13, his YT alias) uploaded of a trick jump he found in my map in CPMA. It`s pretty short but I thought it`d be neat to post anyway: I was accidentally provided the wrong IP. The actual IP of the CPM server is 78.159.115.81:27961, not 78.159.115.81:27960. (notice the last number of the port)
I can`t edit blog posts and sav Said below that I`d be hosting games at 12:30 AM. I meant to say PM, but I overlooked it. Re-adjust your schedules everybody! :P Sorry...
It`ll also be Central Standard Time (CST), for those living outside my timezone. This Saturday, June 16th, at 12:30 AM, meet me on Maverick`s CPMA server with the IP 78.159.115.81:27960. Maverick has added my map pasctf4, Tactical Assault, to the maplist and I am very grateful. If you want to test it out, drop a line at my thread: http://maverickservers.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=16889
Or you can leave by a comment on my blog through this blog post, and I`ll add your name to the list. Thanks a bunch, I`ll see you in the arena. ;) http://dl.dropbox.com/u/27277779/map_pasctf4.pk3
Some issues still need to be fixed, the most notable is that there is no bot file due to some compiling mishaps. However I shall look into setting up a time for online play. Feel free to look around though. :) The Maverick Competition recently started in the US and I`m working on my CTF map, "Tactical Assault". Unlike my previous maps, this one will start with a rough alpha before moving onto detailing. At first I was concerned but it`s actually a much faster and easier method of level design.
To keep track of my progress, follow this link: http://maverickservers.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=16889&p=18781#p18781 I already have a screenshot up. Wish me good luck, and good luck to all the other competitors! |
